Adria Thompson
Adria Thompson is a licensed speech-language pathologist with over a decade of experience working in dementia care. She earned her Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from Eastern Kentucky University and has worked extensively in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living, and memory care communities. Her work is deeply personal, driven by her experiences with her grandmother who has dementia.
As the founder of Be Light Care Consulting, Adria uses her expertise to help caregivers understand and manage dementia through straightforward, practical advice. She has grown a significant following on social media, where she shares tips and strategies with over 335,000 caregivers, making complex care topics both understandable and usable.
Carrie Aalberts
Carrie Aalberts, widely recognized as Dementia Darling, is a distinguished gerontologist and passionate advocate for the dementia community. With a Master of Science focused in Gerontology and over a decade of hands-on experience in various care settings, Carrie has established herself as a leading voice in dementia education and support.
As the founder of Dementia Darling, Carrie has cultivated a thriving online community of more than 50,000 followers, creating a nurturing space where caregivers find education, support, and understanding. Her mission is to empower caregivers and challenge the prevailing narrative surrounding dementia and aging, focusing on enhancing quality of life and fostering moments of joy!
